This Privacy Policy describes how Linkdekho ("Platform", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, processes, and protects your personal data when you access or use Linkdekho.com. This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including visitors, registered Creators, and brand partners.

By accessing or using Linkdekho.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

This Privacy Policy is compliant with and governed by:

• The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025
• The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules")
• The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021
• All other applicable laws and regulations in India

1. Who We Are

Linkdekho operates Linkdekho.com — a free link-in-bio platform that enables creators to build and share a public profile page. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, 2023, Linkdekho is the Data Fiduciary — the entity that determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data.

Our contact details are provided at the end of this Policy. For data-related grievances, please refer to our Grievance Officer section (Section 17).

2. Data We Collect

We collect personal data in the following categories:

2.1 Data You Provide Directly

• Full name, username, email address, and phone number provided during account registration
• Password (stored in hashed form — never in plain text)
• Profile information you add to your Creator Page — including bio, profile photo, links, social handles, and any other content you choose to publish
• Primary platform details (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, or other) and associated profile URL
• Messages, inquiries, or feedback submitted through our contact or brand inquiry forms
• Any additional information you voluntarily provide to us via email or support channels

2.2 Data Collected Automatically

• IP address, browser type, browser version, and operating system
• Device type and screen resolution
• Pages visited on the Platform, time spent on pages, and navigation patterns
• Referring URLs — the page you came from before landing on our Platform
• Date and time of each visit to the Platform
• Error logs and crash reports to help us diagnose technical issues

2.3 Creator Page Analytics Data

• Number of visits to your Creator Page, broken down by time period (7-day, 28-day, monthly, all-time)
• Tab-level visit data — which tabs on your Creator Page (Career, Jobs, Products, Collabs, Social) were visited
• Link click counts on your Creator Page
• Visitor geolocation data at a broad level (country/city, not precise location)

This analytics data is aggregated and presented to you in your dashboard. We do not share identifiable visitor data with Creators or third parties.

2.4 Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account details, or financial credentials
• We do not collect government-issued identification numbers (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.)
• We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data or information (SPDI) as defined under Rule 3 of the SPDI Rules, 2011, unless explicitly required and consented to

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, we process your personal data on the following lawful bases:

• Consent — By registering on the Platform and accepting this Privacy Policy, you provide informed, free, specific, and unambiguous consent to our processing of your personal data for the purposes described herein. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 13).
• Contractual necessity — Processing necessary to provide you with the services you have registered for, including creating and hosting your Creator Page.
• Legitimate interests — Processing necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, improving, and securing the Platform, provided such interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Legal obligation — Processing required to comply with applicable Indian laws, court orders, or lawful government directives.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

• Account creation and management — To create, maintain, and manage your Linkdekho account and Creator Page
• Platform services — To provide you with all features of the Platform, including theme selection, link management, tabs, and analytics
• Analytics — To generate and display page view and engagement analytics in your dashboard
• Communications — To send you account-related notifications, security alerts, and important platform updates. We will not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
• Customer support — To respond to your queries, grievances, or support requests
• Security and fraud prevention — To detect, investigate, and prevent unauthorised access, abuse, spam, or fraudulent activity on the Platform
• Platform improvement — To analyse usage patterns and improve the Platform's features, design, and performance
• Legal compliance — To comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or lawful government requests

We will not use your personal data for any purpose other than those listed above without obtaining your prior consent.

5. Creator Page — Public Visibility

Your Linkdekho Creator Page is public by default. This means:

• Any information you add to your Creator Page — including your name, username, bio, profile photo, links, and social handles — is visible to anyone on the internet who visits your page URL (linkdekho.com/yourusername)
• Your Creator Page may be indexed by search engines such as Google, Bing, and others
• Your Creator Page URL can be shared freely by you or by any visitor

Important: Do not add any sensitive personal information — such as your home address, Aadhaar number, financial details, or private contact information — to your public Creator Page. Linkdekho is not responsible for any consequences arising from personal data you choose to make public on your Creator Page.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Platform. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us provide and improve our services.

6.1 Types of cookies we use:

• Essential cookies — Required for the Platform to function. These include session cookies that keep you logged in. Without these, core features of the Platform cannot work.
• Preference cookies — Store your settings and preferences to personalise your experience on the Platform.
• Analytics cookies — Help us understand how users interact with the Platform by collecting anonymous, aggregated data about page visits, navigation, and usage patterns.

6.2 Managing cookies:

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse, delete, or block cookies. Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using key features of the Platform. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the Platform but will limit our ability to improve it.

We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across third-party websites.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not share your personal data except in the following limited circumstances:

7.1 Service Providers (Data Processors)

We engage trusted third-party service providers to help us operate the Platform, including web hosting providers, email delivery services, and analytics tools. These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. Our current service providers include:

• Hostinger — web hosting and server infrastructure
• Email delivery service — for transactional emails

7.2 Legal Compliance and Government Requests

We may disclose your personal data where required by law, court order, or lawful government or regulatory authority directive, including under the IT Act, 2000, or as required by competent Indian authorities. We will, where permitted by law, attempt to notify you before disclosing your data in response to such requests.

7.3 Protection of Rights

We may disclose your data where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Linkdekho, its users, or the public — including to investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms and Conditions.

7.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or part of our business, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

In all cases of third-party sharing, we ensure that appropriate contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards are in place to protect your data.

8. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your personal data is primarily stored and processed on servers located in India. To the extent any transfer of personal data outside India is necessary for Platform operations (for example, via third-party service providers), such transfers will be made only to countries or entities that provide adequate levels of data protection, or subject to appropriate contractual safeguards, in compliance with applicable Indian law including the DPDP Act, 2023.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law:

• Active accounts — We retain your account data for the duration your account remains active on the Platform
• Deleted accounts — Upon account deletion, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, for tax, audit, or regulatory compliance purposes)
• Analytics data — Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained beyond account deletion as it cannot identify you individually
• Legal hold — We may retain data beyond the above periods where required by a court order, government directive, or ongoing legal proceeding
• Contact form data — Retained for up to 12 months from the date of submission for support and compliance purposes

In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, we will erase personal data as soon as the purpose for which it was collected has been met and continued retention is not required by law.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, in accordance with Rule 8 of the IT (SPDI) Rules, 2011 and the DPDP Act, 2023. Our security measures include:

• Password hashing — All passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage. We never store passwords in plain text.
• HTTPS encryption — All data transmitted between your browser and our Platform is encrypted using TLS/SSL
• Session security — Sessions are protected with secure, httponly, and SameSite cookie flags
• Access controls — Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis
• Regular security reviews — We periodically review our security practices and infrastructure
• Database protection — Sensitive configuration files, database credentials, and server-side code are protected from public access

While we take all reasonable precautions, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in harm to you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required under the DPDP Act, 2023.

11. Children's Data

Linkdekho is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, we will implement age verification mechanisms and obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before processing personal data of children, once the relevant provisions of the DPDP Rules come into full effect.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has registered on the Platform or provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us immediately at hello@linkdekho.com and we will delete such data promptly.

12. Your Rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act, 2023 and applicable Indian law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access — You have the right to obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and the purposes for which it is being processed
• Right to correction — You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data. You can update most of your profile information directly from your dashboard.
• Right to erasure — You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. You may delete your account from the dashboard settings or by contacting us.
• Right to grievance redressal — You have the right to have your grievances addressed by our Grievance Officer within 30 days of submission
• Right to nominate — You may nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity, in accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023
• Right to withdraw consent — You may withdraw your consent to processing at any time. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To withdraw consent, contact us or delete your account.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@linkdekho.com with the subject line "Data Rights Request — [Your Username]". We will respond within 30 days.

13. Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time by:

• Deleting your account through your dashboard settings
• Contacting us at hello@linkdekho.com requesting account deletion and data erasure
• Disabling non-essential cookies through your browser settings

Please note that withdrawal of consent will result in the deactivation of your Creator Page and account. We will process your erasure request within 30 days. Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes as described in Section 9.

14. Third-Party Platforms and Links

Your Creator Page may contain links to third-party platforms — such as Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, or other external websites. Linkdekho is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party platform. When you click on a third-party link from your Creator Page, you leave the Linkdekho Platform and are subject to that platform's own privacy policy.

We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party platform you visit. Linkdekho shall not be liable for any data collection or processing carried out by third parties.

15. Analytics and Aggregated Data

We collect and analyse aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how the Platform is used and to improve our services. This aggregated data cannot identify any individual user and is not treated as personal data. We may share aggregated, anonymised statistics publicly (for example, "Linkdekho serves X creators") without restriction.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or Platform features. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy
• Notify registered Creators via email at the address associated with their account
• Display a prominent notice on the Platform for a reasonable period after the change

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree with the updated Policy, please discontinue use of the Platform and contact us to delete your account.

17. Grievance Officer

In accordance with Rule 5(9) of the IT (SPDI) Rules, 2011 and the IT Rules, 2021, Linkdekho has appointed a Grievance Officer to address complaints and concerns related to the processing of personal data and privacy-related matters.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India once it becomes operational under the DPDP Act, 2023.

18. Jurisdiction and Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
